Clothing Exchange     May 3-5     9 am-5 pm

Looking for a way to spice up your wardrobe or clothe your kids for school? We host a Clothing Exchange twice a year as a way to show God’s love in a practical way. Held in the Spring and again in the Fall the Exchange is a good way to refill your wardrobe and put your unwanted items to good use. No money is exchange as you bring what clothes you don’t need and take what clothes you need.

Community Meal

We seek to show God’s love by meeting physical needs and caring for the young, old and in between. One of the ways we do this is by serving a free meal to anyone who wants to come and share food and fellowship with us. It is served on the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month at 6 pm. All are welcome!

Home Makeover Project

The last recorded words of Jesus were for his followers to show and tell people about him, beginning in their hometown and to the ends of the earth. In an attempt to do what Jesus has commanded us, First Baptist Church of Fairbury offers a home makeover to a family in need in our community once a year. This is limited to one family selected by a committee based on this application; a home assessment and a personal interview. This would be a great way to use your God given talents in the construction field.

Tapestry of Love

Inspired by a mission trip to Nicaragua in 2012, a group of ladies banded together to create “door hanger tapestries” to send with the team that went back to Nicaragua in November 2013.  Using their God given talents to the glory of God, their assorted creations have now been provided to local, national and international organizations.

Tapestry of Love is non-denominational in their scope and in their group and they welcome anyone who would like to serve in this ministry to further God’s Kingdom. Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 9:37 “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few”.
